A Pride of Six Local Lions Clubs Fund Raising for The Christie
We need your help to run or walk 10K at your own pace and help us raise £10k | June 19th - 27th 2021

We need your help to raise £10,000 for a consulting room at the new Christie hospital in Macclesfield due to come on stream in early 2022. The Lions Clubs from the local towns of Alsager, Buxton, Congleton, Knutsford, Macclesfield, Vale Royal have joined forces, and we really need your help to reach this target. Register and donate £10 or for a family £30 and consider starting your own sponsorship online or using the downloadable sponsor form. Complete a virtual 10k walk or run between the 19th-27th June, record this on your smartphone or watch as proof, tell us when you have finished and we will send you your Christies 10K for £10K Medal and enter you into the prize draw for some amazing gifts! You get to help the fight against cancer plus 100% of all money will go to The Christie, the Lions donate every penny, and our main sponsor Cheshire Cheese Company is picking up all costs.


If you are a member of a running club in one of the six towns add your club name to your entry and we will update daily the league table with time and elevation and clubs listed. We hope our local running clubs can help chase away cancer.

about me - Matthew Rigby

Hi I am Matt, and as a fully qualified personal trainer I want to help you 'Overcome your Obstacles'. Having completed my own weight journey, My fitness lifestyle has evolved over the last 8 years. I've gone from an overweight non-runner to an Team UK Age Group athlete at the 2019 Obstacle Course Racing World Championships.

I love a challenge so It doesn't matter if you haven't exercised for years, maybe you are recovering from injury, or you just want a push to get even better than you are already. I will tailor an achievable exercise plan on either a one to one basis or as part of a group. We can work together to help create "the best version of you". 


Remember that it is never to late to change your lifestyle and your physical well being. Getting fitter and slimmer in the process, it will help to improve your mental health. As we all have to learn to like ourselves to become positive in our outlook.
