Matt and Tom have been working together as part of a training programme to prepare Tom for an endurance challenge in September. Whilst plotting training routes, Matt identified a relatively unknown route from Macclesfield all the way to Manchester Ship Canal.

 

At this point, it became apparent that the fastest known time for this route had not yet been set and Matt and Tom decided to take on the near marathon distance in order to raise funds for charity.

The sponsored run will take place on 19th March 2021.

Space4Autism is a Macclesfield charity that provides support and opportunities to children and young people with autism. This cause is particularly close to Matt's heart and Tom has agreed to support him in this challenge.

Update... #DadsThatRun set the "Fastest Know Time" for the Bollin Valley Way from Macclesfield to Partington at 4 hours 12 mins for the 36km route.
